It was a quiet wednesday on the 21st of August. The year=2000. Three kids were hanging out by a skatepark drooling over how they wanted to skate there....
The kids (Pete Malloy, Geoff Melanson and Sarah Martin) were watching how good the local skaters were at the killington skatepark in vermont. It isn't exactly documented who said it, but all agreed when the words came out of one of their mouths "If I had a skate company I would sponsor them." That is when the idea came;"We should start a company!" one of them said. They got lots of ideas together. Journeying back home to Concord the next day Geoff dropped Pete and Sarah off at Sarah's house. Pete and Sarah created the first logos for M+M that they had thought of in Vermont. Originally M+M was only a skateboard company, but Sarah really wanted to have a snowboarding section too. Awhile later that summer Sarah and Pete were skateboarding downtown and saw Jack Haley blading. Jack and Pete were already friends. When Pete unravled the plan of the company to Jack he thought there should be a blading section. To start off with M+M was only gonna do repairs in Pete's basement. That didn't go so well according to his mom's plans. M+M seemed like a stupid idea and something of the past at that point, but Geoff, Pete, Jack and Sarah still wanted to have a company. On December 12th 2000 Sarah created the first M+M website and the rest is history.

Anthony Caro's broken arm

As time went by more people wanted in on M+M, so in the middle of English class Pete and Sarah decided that Anthony would be a good contributer to M+M and he became the graphics designer.

Towards about april of 2001 M+M needed a photographer and Adam Lagace had all the right equipment and was hired.
